Several families of like-minded readers of the "Ringing Cedars of Russia" book series having ancestral roots in the Arkhangelsk region, inspired by the idea of creating family homesteads, the creation of a Space of Love for a family, the revival of the native land and the whole of Russia, in 2005, they chose the beautiful place near village Khmelniki, Konoshsky District.

The administration and the local population were surprised and happy to met new people who wanted to change the urban lifestyle in the gradual transition to living in the rural areas.

The main purposes of all the participants were the creation of a perfect living environment for themselves, their children, grandchildren, great - grandchildren etc., creation of Space that allows living a self-sufficient life for the whole family. Creation of Space allowing you to improve yourself as a Person and raise healthy, hard-working, talented children. All this, in our opinion, is possible only in the family homesteads.

Very beautiful and breathtaking places. Big and small fields and clearings. Once (10-15 years ago) there were arable lands separated by forest belts. And now these former arable lands overgrown with young pines. Now there are little pine, and they're gravitate directly to you with each his needle.
They are waiting! These pine and fir trees and every blade of grass. They had to grow up. They tried. They were preparing for this meeting. Yes, of course, they knew we were coming. They hoped and waited for us all this time. Hello, pine, we arrived. And more will come others, and touches you with the love of many hands. So please wait a little bit longer. And thank you pine, thank you for waiting that has grown up such a beauty.

And even takes my breath away from the realization, that it was the place of our strength and our inspiration. And we began to dream of our own family homesteads in this land...

In the early years the land was furnished for rent and people begun to mow grass on their land, to plant gardens and arrange flower garden and warm beds of hay. In 2009 were registered Country non-commercial partnerships, allowing building constructions and acquiring the right of permanent residence in a rural land.

We understand that the establishment of Settlements consisting of family homesteads, a difficult task, requiring great fortitude, great hard work, great dedication and great love for all. And the implementation of this goal is possible only in unity and understanding with the local population, local and regional administration and, of course, the government.
Now in the settlement of family homesteads "LEPOTA" permanently resident one large family. From April to July engaged in the creation of their homesteads 6 families. Started the construction of two baths and one apartment building.
