The settlement "Raduzhnoe u Medvedicy" comes from the books by the Russian writer Vladimir Megre "the Ringing cedars of Russia". The idea of creating a family homestead inspired people to action. People began to purchase plots of land (1 hectare) with a goal to build a perfect living environment for his family, for his descendants, and in memory of their ancestors. On the acquired land began to appear gardens, ponds, beehives. People started to grow fruit and vegetable crops. We plan to fertilize the land with only natural types of fertilizers.
A settlement is created on the basis of the isolated farmstead Tarasov, Danilovskiy district, Volgograd oblast. In 2007 two families moved to the isolated farmstead for permanent residence with the aim of creating family homesteads. In a common area were built shed, summer stove, outside shower and baths.
Three festivals were held: "Medvedica 2008", "Medvedica 2009" and "Medvedica 2011".
Already 4 families reside permanently in the settlement in winter 2014-2015; other families live part of the winter or periodically.
To date, it is enough land to form plots in the settlement.
There is a school in the village Ostrovskaya, 8 km away from the settlement.
There are also football and volleyball courts in the settlement. Children like to play here. On the common place was built playground. The playground project is based on children's drawings. There are also children's camps and wells in the settlement.
